Zielona Góra is famous for wine. This is proved not only by its several-hundred-year-old tradition, but also by the fact that grape plantations in Zielona Góra seem to be enjoying a revival, and planters begin to produce their own wine. Only in 2004, we planted 1200 shrubs of grapevine in parks, squares and roundabouts. There is always lots of fun during the young wine festivity of Zielona Góra and the local home-made wine contests.
The last year’s holiday of the City - "WINOBRANIE" – not only was the best mass event in the city, but also a unique event in the whole country. Above all, the festivity of Winobranie is the time of fun and entertainment. The program included a wide scope of events: grape-gathering fairs, flea market classical music concerts, fun fairs, the international Folklore Festival, jazz, rock and pop music concerts – all under the auspices of Bachus, the God of Wine.
